network storage show up automatically if the storage and your computer are on the same subnet. However, with my current setup, my laptop is on the mesh router's subnet (MEKTRM), and my NAS is on a different subnet (mekrtm).
To add, open windows file explorer, right-click on "This PC", and select "Add a network location".
Select next
Select "Choose a custom network location" and click next
type \\<ip address of server>\<specific share on that server>
in the "Internet or network address" field.
example: \\192.168.0.2\shared files
click next
you might have to put in credentials for the server in here.
If you want the whole server to be accessible from file explorer, you want a network drive
